Snowmaggedon Update

I went out and blew off about 4 inches of snow.  Well, it’s coming down fairly quickly, so it may have been a bit more by the time I was done.  The snow here is West Bend is heavy and sloppy.  Even with the Cub Cadet, I was out there for an hour and a half.  Well, I also did the sidewalk for the empty lots again and I met a new neighbor and did his sidewalk and a good chunk of his driveway… still, it was nasty snow.  I pity the fool who has to shovel that stuff.

  2. About 12” here in Germantown - very heavy, wet snow. If the temperature was colder - we probably would have had 20” here.

  4. I must be the fool then.

    I shoveled (by hand) my four-car driveway and about 200 feet of sidewalk this morning.  Got it done in about an hour and a half.

    No machinery necessary; just whatever the good Lord gave me.

  6. I would have died without a snowblower this morning - very wet snow.

    The biceps are willing, but the back is weak…

  7. It’s neither the biceps nor the back you need…it’s the heart.

  8. exactly MPP;

    So please, all of you, take it easy with that wet heavy snow. If you get out of breath or feel light-headed slow down. Far too may will have hearts go out because the snow just wouldn’t wait to be moved.

  9. We are incredibly slow here at the shop, which is ok,  two of my of my staff could not make it in.  Not a real surprise given there is a foot of wet snow here.  Now that the wind has begun the drifting is becoming a problem.

  11. At the risk of taking this off on a tangent ... I have not been able to get onto the DOT ‘Winter Road Conditions’ site all morning.  If its not going to be available on a day like this, or it can’t handle the volume of users weather like this generates, what the bloody hell good is it?

  14. Only 5-6 inches here in Brookfield but very heavy, wet snow. Couldn’t have cleared the driveway without my trusty Toro.
