Seventeen Years Later…

Two years ago, I posted about Tom McMahon’s “What I Have Learned in 15 Years.”  Charlie Sykes later called it the best blog post ever.

Tom reposted it today as his “Classic TM Post of the Day.”  I hope you’ll go read it.

And Tom still has the best blog tag line ever.

  1. Lots of it is nice, but there’s some definite curveballs in there.  First of all, it is a little too bitter for my taste to be truly inspirational.  Also he romanticizes the past a bit much.  And what’s with the subtle digs on minority groups and environmentalism?  Anyway, I hope the ensuing two years have been good to him and his family.

(Now watch me get attacked for having anything critical to say about it.)

  2. That’s a great list.  I don’t see what he says as subtle digs on either minorities, or environmentalism, but rather on large corporations and lazy people.

I cannot image the hard times he went through, but it seems as though he’s learned to deal with them, and grow from them… and it makes me wonder if I would end up the same in a similar situation.
