Sensenbrenner: I’m Voting for Scott Walker

Know what I like about this ad? I get the feeling that Jim Sensenbrenner would rather stick a sharp stick in his eye than do ads—for himself or for anyone else. So I can just picture him hoisting his pants up (I always picture Sensenbrenner as motivational speaker Matt Foley), hunkering down, and saying, “All right, let’s get these shenanigans over with so I can get on my boat.”

The mental imagery (and the message) make this ad a winner in my book.

  2. If only he had included a “Well, la-de-frickin’-da” in there somewhere.

  3. Neumann has been acting like a brat since the beginning of this campaign, so it’s appropriate that he’s being scolded like a child here.

  4. I came home earlier to this robocall message (sans music) on my machine.  Couldn’t wait for the message to get through so it could be deleted.

    Can’t wait for November 3.

  5. I got the robocall this afternoon.  Flyin’ Jim sounded like a man preparing for his colonoscopy.

Now that WisGOP annointed Walker they’re stuck with him but nobody looks happy this week.

  6. Yes, grumps, we’re looking unhappy because there’s a reason Oblahblah shoved Lawton to the side of the road, and Neuman is playing right into it. Why would Barrett voters bother voting in the uncontested Dem primary, when they can cripple the Republicans by voting for a loser in their primary?

Neuman has split the GOP fundraising effort, caused Walker to waste tons of money in a senseless primary campaign, and alienated half the Republican electorate.

The typical “What me worry” beltway insider, Neuman could care less about what the GOP wants, or what is good for Wisconsin. He wants to win, no matter the cost. He assumes we’ll just wipe the spit off our faces, hold our breath and vote for him in November.

  7. Nicely said Duke, and if Neuman does poke a sharp stick in our eye in Sept, I won’t be able to vote for him in Nov.

  8. Greg, i so agree with you.

Not so very long ago, i had such a high regard for Neumann.  He threw all that away early in this campaign taking such a low road that the deep tunnel seems lofty in comparison.  Suddenly, he tries to make it sound like he is the only one who takes the high road while Barrett and Walker are in the mud pit.

I truly hope that Neumann not only loses, but he gets trounced.  I would have liked to have crossed over to vote for Clarke in the primary - now, it seems like i can’t do that.  So, once again, Neumann has hurt the conservatives even if he loses.

Yes, Greg, I heard that from Neuman himself on Sykes this morning. I almost barfed! I couldn’t believe Charlie didn’t roast him alive for saying that on his show.

After all the muck he threw at Walker, now he says, “Mommy, Scott’s picking on me - he’s running a dirty campaign!” What a D.C. insider!

  10. Congressman Sensenbrenner came into my office in fall 1992 (He does make it to downtown every year with brochures )and saw a 6’ cut out of Bill Clinton.
He was good natured and said he probably couldn"t get my vote and looked for an exit .
I told him I didn"t care about term limits or how many checks he bounced at the house bank and that he should feel welcome .

We talked for half an hour about why he never ran against herb Kohl and about politics in general.
Decent guy, don"t agree with him on much of anything, but I gave him credit for stepping into the (mini) lions den

and yes Wendy, even then he did not strike me as a guy begging to get on TV.

  11. Congressman Sensennbrenner has one of the nicest voices in radio and Congress.

You should here him sing at church!

Why do the libs in the drive-by-media always make him sound whiny?
