Wow. Charlie Sykes has obtained an email from Senator Luther Olsen’s Chief of Staff to Luther’s brother about the ethanol mandate. This is required reading.
Renewable fuels…
creates jobs $$$$ for Olson’s cronies
clean environment $$$$$ on what planet, Paul?
supports local economy $$$$$$$ Again, for Olson’s cronies
keeps our dollars home $$$$$$$$$$$ In Olson’s pocket
its the future $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ of screwing the consumer
a flip flop senator who doesn’t defend reality WORTHLESS !!! only to the ethanol crowd. To the real world…priceless!
If Senator Olson is such an ethical guy, what is he going to do about the new accountabilty board that said there was no conflict of interest?
SEVEN OR SO DEGREES OF LUTHER OLSEN
* Heather Smith - Chief of Staff
* The same Heather Smith who worked with Todd Rongstad? Yes indeed - http://www.madison.com/wisconsinstatejournal/caucus/3041.html
* Who is cuddly with Mark Jefferson, a big wig in the Wisconsin GOP - and who ALSO worked with Todd Rongstad.
I can see it now….
I BLAME Scott Walker AND Luther Olsen for EVERYTHING - Thanks Heather and Todd LOL
The worst part is that people consider him one of the best state senators.
Dohnal,
This would be the first time I have heard anyone say that.
Olsen is a turd.
Ever go in his office and see the awards. See his endorsements during the primary when he ran last time?
Many establishment GOPers loved him.
Safe to say that Luther, along with Dale Schultz are two biggest buffoons in the state.
Things That Make You Go HMMMMMMMMMMMM
Why? Because of you. They know that you are the chink in Luther’s armor. It doesn’t matter what any ethics board says about if it’s ok or not. Anyone who is not completely retarded running a political campaign knows how to make a perceived ethical problem look just as bad as a real one. And if you’re good you can make it look worse - since it’s not too damn hard to make it look like the dirty politician (that is what people think) somehow bought off or misled the ethics police. This is not brain surgery, and I am more than a little familiar with how one goes about doing that to a candidate. I make some money in even numbered years doing that kind of thing.
Geesh, Miss Smith, didn’t you learn anything from the caucus investigations?
So then what happens? Well talk radio spends the next few months pounding Luther, ethanol in general, and YOU. Why you? Well, if one Olsen is a dirty sleaze whoring for the rest of the clan’s money interests, then you all probably are just as scummy. And, then starts the looking into family business “problems” “legal troubles” “VIOLATIONS” “shady transactions” and then a disgruntled former employee comes out with some accusations… And while I’m sure it’d all be nothing but complete fabricated nonsense, they would certainly twist together enough grains of truth there to run with for weeks on end. In fact, from now until September I believe would be the chosen timeframe. Now maybe the business is strong enough to withstand that kind of beating. Ethanol probably won’t disappear because of it.
But Luther Olsen might. Because maybe in business you can stand up and tell all your clients and vendors to go jump off a cliff. But you can’t do that when you’re a legislator. Luther Olsen can’t tell his employers that they can take a long walk off a short pier without getting fired.
What former employees? What violations? Please elaborate.
Poor Luther, can’t trust the family, can’t rely on the Chief of Staff, can’t run on your record (NAME one bill he has introduced in the past five years worth the paper it is written on).
I couldn’t imagine that there’s a person like him!!!
It is easy for him to win awards as being the best…when considering the competition. I bet he would take first in every foot race versus any type of mollusk too.
Here’s one for A. “Lewis.” Guy gets caught running his mayoral race on state time, years after the caucus! And tells everyone about it on his way out the door, so it gets all over his hometown. Wonder if there is reimbursment coming for that.
