Senator Nelson to Vote for Obamacare

Congrats, Nebraska.  Your Senator is for sale too

Sen. Ben Nelson (Neb.), the final Democratic holdout on health care, was prepared to announce to his caucus Saturday morning that he would support the Senate reform bill, clearing the way for final passage by Christmas.

“We’re there,” said Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), as he headed into a special meeting to announce the deal.

  1. As usual, it’s never about what is the right thing to do.  Just one more criminal in elected office who only cares about enriching him/her self and those they took bribes (read: campaign contributions) from.  The best thing that could happen is if we round up the entire legislative and executive branches and put them in Thompson with the terrorists.  Although I suppose that would be too harsh to expect the terrorists to put up with these worthless crapweasels.

  2. Rumor has it that they put in language that will exempt Nebraska from some of the crappy cost hits for 3 years.  Just enough to cover Nelson’s re-election campaign.

    However.  I don’t recall seeing any CBO score on the manager’s amendment yet.

    Not that they care.

In days, 60 thug, Democrat senators are going to break the back of our nation’s economy and ruin our health care system by voting to pass a 2000+ page bill that isn’t even written down just because they can and have been bought to do the deed.  Our President who was elected on lies and false promises will sign it.  Even if we vote out many Democrats in 2010, the deed will be impossible to undo.

    The only way to stop it is if several thousand patriots storm the capitol and do a citizen’s arrest of enough of the bad senators to make the vote not happen.  That’s if I’m writing an alternate reality fiction story.

  5. As of Friday - the latest polls showed that 61% of the population do not want this bill.  It seems to me our country has been in a similar place a couple hundred years ago….
