School Supplies!

One thing our school does well is registration.  Today we received the registration packet for next year, including the school supply list.  This makes it easier to buy school items whenever they go on sale.  I love school supply shopping, but the list seems to get longer every year (although it appears that the supply list is the same as last year except that the year changed and this year’s “Old Testament” theme was changed to “New Testament” for next year).

So, for fun, here is our shopping list for the four kids before school starts next fall (below the fold).  Yes, one of our kids really does need to bring a white sock.  They use dry erase boards at their desks for math problems.  The sock is to clean off the board.  It’s a nice idea, actually.

Your non tax deductible contribution to the “Send the kids to school fund” happily accepted.  Just kidding.

Sorta.

  1. Pretty amazing how so much has changed in the last 20 years in terms of technology, and yet this is pretty much the same stuff I was carting off with me to grade school back in the 80’s.  Man, glue sticks were fun.

The more things change, the more they stay the same, I guess.

  6. I’m assuming a school box is like a cigar box. They used to tell us to get a cigar box, and you could go to a drug store or a grocery store, or the dime store, and they’d just give you one free of charge, because they had plenty of them just lying around.

Cigar box? Dime store? Damn, I’m old.
