Saudi Arabia Beheads Murderer and Crucifies The Body

Dang.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - Saudi authorities beheaded and crucified a man convicted of brutally slaying an 11-year-old boy and his father, the Interior Ministry announced.

According to the statement issued by the ministry Friday, shop owner Ahmed al-Anzi molested the boy and then strangled him with a length of rope. He then stabbed the boy’s father to death when the man came looking for his son.

He hid both the bodies in his shop, the statement said, adding that al-Anzi threatened police with a knife when they came to arrest him.

Al-Anzi had previously been convicted of sodomy and owning pornographic films, a crime in conservative Saudi Arabia.

Crucifying the headless body in a public place is a way to set an example, according to the kingdom’s strict interpretation of Islam. Normally those convicted of rape, murder and drug trafficking in Saudi Arabia are just beheaded.

I trust that my 9 year old daughter could be left on the corner and I could return 8 hours later and she would have been cared for…I can’t say that about about the US for which I am a natural born citizen. He should not be given the chance do do this to other children.”

  4. it is a first in the Saudi justice system to have such quick response to a crime in such scale - the crime happened on 28th of March and in about two months he was beheaded and crucified in the same place where he committed his crime, did this make Amnesty International upset, did this make the International community upset,
    so be it , not a single Saudi citizen will accept the sabotage of the security even if it makes the entire world upset and protest against the way how law is executed here, if you accept that this happens to a neighbor of yours of a family member and get sentenced to serve 25 or 30 years in a air conditioned prison cell , well I don’t , criminals should get the absolute possible convect for there crimes to , the punishment was always and will stay and should be a statement of sample to create a law obeying societies , if you all are crying on why his body was displayed in public after the beheading , remember one thing, he didn’t think of that when he did this

  6. The word for displaying an executed criminal is gibbet. This has been a practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for years.  I became familiar with the term during my tenure at the embassy in Saudi Arabia when I had to write the annual human rights report.

    Using the term “crucifixion” is incorrect. Sadly, it reflects the state of journalism and editing is today’s dumbed down media.

  7. Here we go again, always trying to butt into something and control.
    If it is a no dout, for sure he/she did it crime WAY TO GO !!!

    Obama say’s we should being working together as a nation. What a fine display of a criminal justice system. We should butt into this one only to learn by thier example.
    Talk about saving money! Not only by having to build less jails and prison systems, but also it would be less police force needed and drawn out court procedures.
    OH- thats right we support the murders and rapist by giving and providing for them all thier needs including a place to live.
    Our system not only gets tax dollar money from us the tax payers, but it also attempts and recieves money from defendants that are given a felony 1,2,3 criminal record label. A record that does not allow them to get a job to provide for themselves. So it leads to futher crimes? Hmmm
    Stiffer punishment? Less crime, and a cheaper safer living enviroment for our nation.
    But who am I? I am only a productive, tax paying, law obiding citizen who has no choice and have alot of my tax dollars paying for over populated prison systems housing hell of alot of muders and rapist.
    I live in Colorado- home of the maxiam secerity prison and many more, and upset politicians who lost out on a tax increase to build yet another jail to jail not only the petty crimes police officers find to meet quota and attempt to gain money, but to house the murders and rapist who are awaiting thier fair trial that can take up to 2 or 3 years! Even when there is no dout and the crime is for sure he/she did the crime.
    Known sever punishment for the crime and to follow through.
    WAY TO GO !!!!

  8. Be nice if we could do that in the US - not only would it reduce crime but just think of the amount of taxpayer money that would be saved.
