Wow.

A statistical overview of the population shows that 89% of the population is White and nearly 8% Native American. That leaves other races in the smallest minority. While overall, only 2.5% of the US population is Lutheran, in Shawano this religious denomination comprises 38% of people with religious affiliations. Roman Catholics make up 26%, thus the majority of the Shawano population is White Lutherans and Catholics.

The German Lutherans and Catholics who settled northwestern Wisconsin (Shawano and Wausau) are religious descendants of Martin Luther and biological cousins of the same German Lutherans and Catholics who in World War II murdered six million Jews and millions of others who didn’t fit their mold.

Is it any surprise that these people are using the same tactics today in the USA to harm and discredit those who are different from them?

Nothing like a little bigotry to liven up a conversation.

  2. And Shawano’s not in northwestern Wisconsin either. Last time I checked, it was in northeastern Wisconsin.

  6. There is some bizarre stuff on this linked website…take the latest press release that has these items:

    after scam artist Cameron took the $175,000, he informed SIST that he was a hired gun for Lorna Marquardt, Ed Whealon, and the FBI to rob SIST. and ...SIST planned to wait to pursue recovery of the $175,000 until the Obama administration takes office to protect the rights of minority groups in this country. and ...city officials expressed the opinion that they already had SIST by the throat and now they just needed to finish us off before Bush leaves office.

    BTW, for those that know me, I am not related to the Mayor!

  7. Funny - SIST is trying so very hard to discredit Ms. Marquardt and other city officials, but yet people associated with SIST keep doing things (video taping the Mayor’s house, etc.) and get caught at it and just so happen to have warrants out for their arrest!  Interesting indeed!
