RIP, Marv Husar

RIP, Mr. Husar.

Marv Husar’s family will hold his wake and service in the store - Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds in downtown West Bend - where he loved to work and wait on his customers.

“He told us many times he was going to go out feet first,” said his son, Mike Husar. “So there it is.”

The only thing his father wouldn’t approve of is not being open for regular business.

“He’d probably kill me - ‘What, closed on a Saturday?’ ” Mike said, with a laugh.

Marvin J. Husar died Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital near West Bend after a heart attack. He was 83.

“He worked eight hours a day until two months ago and then he cut back to about five hours a day,” his son said. “His life was coming in, buying diamonds and grading diamonds, and being with people and talking to people. He loved that.”

Perhaps they should cremate him and have him compressed into a diamond.  I’ll bet he’d like that.
