It’s becoming more and more difficult to trust anything the government is telling us about how they are spending our money.
Here’s a stimulus success story: In Arizona’s 15th congressional district, 30 jobs have been saved or created with just $761,420 in federal stimulus spending. At least that’s what the Web site set up by the Obama administration to track the $787 billion stimulus says.
There’s one problem, though: There is no 15th congressional district in Arizona; the state has only eight districts.
And ABC News has found many more entries for projects like this in places that are incorrectly identified.
Nobody was supposed to find that out…
WI: $239,979 spent per job “saved” by my math.
Hmmm, any waste here in these non-existent districts?
$235,745.06 per job if you divide the jobs by the “agency reported” fund paid out.
My small rural school district got a check for over $300,000 to prevent layoffs according to Doyle at the time….two weeks later they layed off two teachers.
Its all a mystery.
the 4th congressional district on that list spent about $1,283,951 per job saved. Could they please save my job next?
Gosh, why’s all the liberal posters stay away from this thread?
I case anybody wants a by district breakdown of the cost per job “saved or created”:
1 $1,488,313.70
2 $78,264.01
3 $687,747.65
4 $1,285,501.89
5 $2,955,309.02
6 $825,403.54
7 $681,201.39
8 $712,162.92
Unassigned $172,591.33
Almost $3 MIL per job in the 5th.
