Oops… they tried to be nice and ended up letting a terrorist out of prison for what could be more than a decade.
The cancer expert who predicted the Lockerbie bomber would die within three months of his release from prison has admitted he could live for another ten years or more.
Professor Karol Sikora, who had diagnosed Abdelbaset Al Megrahi with terminal cancer, faced calls to apologise to victims’ families last night.
Campaigners reacted with fury to the professor’s comments, which they said raised new questions about the decision to allow Megrahi to return to his native Libya.
Let’s just hope that nobody gets killed because of this.
This is why there is a need for the “Death Penalty”.
Now it may be more innocents who will pay the price for not having it. It’s ironic that innocents will be given a death penalty because Megrahi wasn’t. Ah, but we were compassionate toward a murderer, so in effect in allowing more to be murdered, we can claim to be better. I’m sure that will be a great comfort to those who are murdered, and their families.
In actuality, all we can claim is ignorance.
What is this “we”? The British let him go, in spite of the US Government’s protests.
I’m well aware the “British” let him go John, the flight (Pan Am 103?) was headed to America , and the passengers were mostly Americans as I recall. “We” are their target. “We” as such should insist on terrorist be given the death penalty.
You said “we” let him go.
Ah, so I did. I’m sorry, I meant you. It still doesn’t change a thing as far as the intent of the post.
Now I am totally confused, I am not a member of the British government, nor am I even British. How could I have let this terrorist go?
Confused, and thick. Never mind John, the thread’s dead anyway, and I wouldn’t want you to suffer mentally trying to comprehend.
Bye.
