Crawford’s Take is trying desperately to redefine the language to make any criticism or characterization of Obama racist.
Is that different than the GOP attempt to cast any criticism of Palin or McCain’s decision to tab her as Veep as sexist?
That’s just like calling a black person a Thug is racist.
Oooh oooh, call on me… I know the answer…
Barack is “clean,” and “articulate.” Is that the same thing?
How about not being able to go into 7-11 “without hearing an Indian accent”?
Lefty - yes. Irritating, isn’t it. I do it on purpose to mock those who call me racist. Frustrating being accused of ism doesn’t it?
Is that the old definition of racism, (“treating people differently based on their skin color”) or the new definition of racism (”not treating people differently based on their skin color”)?
I hear that Obama guy “doesn’t look like other presidents” and “has a funny name.” But I didn’t hear that from “the GOP.”
For the record, elected Republicans are indeed using racially charged to describe Obama.
According to the Obama camp, if you don’t vote for him you are racist.ded
Here’s the definition of “uppity” from Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary:
“putting on or marked by airs of superiority.”
Synonyms are “arrogant” and “presumptious.”
If the shoe fits ...

Was I accused of something?
Just thought it was curious that Owen characterizes any charge by Obama defenders that a racist line of attack is being mounted against Obama as liberals playing the race card, but offers no comment on the GOP playing the sex card to defend Palin.
Just found this Owen…
Two things to say…
Didn’t realize I was sexist until all I could think about to describe Palin sounded like a sexist joke…
Seriously, witchcraft???
So I can understand how the -isms can creep up on you without you even knowing you’re falling into the trap.
Yes, calling Obama, “elitist” is a deliberate attempt to harken back to “uppity” and throwing in a reference to “spearing” is awefully close to that oldie but goodie “spear chucker” and putting his face on a shirt and calling him a “Curious George” was not exactly non-racist and calling Palin a “witch” was probably out of line on my end as well… LOL
Any chance we can all agree to stay away from the racial slurs and sexist slurs for the rest of the campaign, and start to discuss how the hell I’m going to get my 401K money back from those damn robber barrons on Wall Street????
