Rapid-Firing Stupidity

This is one of the most idiotic things I’ve read in a while.

Hegerty displayed the semiautomatic pistols recovered from the suspects: one Taurus 9mm and one Masterpiece Arms 9mm fitted with a 30-round magazine and a muzzle attachment to minimize its flash. She said the Masterpiece Arms gun, which the 24-year-old held, was “similar to an Uzi.”

Both she and Mayor Tom Barrett criticized how the rapid-firing guns were so readily available to the suspects.

Yes, exactly.  The problem is not the thug gang-bangers who shot two cops.  It’s the semi-automatic gun that fires just as rapidly as every other semi-automatic gun.  No wonder Barrett and Hegerty have done nothing to make a dent in the crime problem in Milwaukee.

  1. Gang leaders do not do the dirty work.  They convince boys to do it “because they lead the kids to believe they will be charged as a JUVIE”.  That’s why 24 year olds give guns to 15 year olds.  The mayor and the “hag” do not seem to have a clue.  As to easy access to guns, gang leaders have the drug money to buy anything they want on the black market and even through legal sources.  If you want gangbanger guns off the streets, get the gangbangers off the streets.  Still waiting to witness a gun jump off a table and shoot-

  2. Well, it is similar to an Uzi in one way - they both fire bullets.

    Other than that, clueless.

  3. The liberal motto “Always blame the gun - never hold the individual acountable”

  4. Look--Hegarty’s purpose in using the “Uzi” term was strictly to scare the crap out of the ignorant.  Probably worked and I suspect the reporter had to run to Target for new BVD’s immediately after the presser.

By the way, the extension on the MasterArms (?) piece was called a “flash-hider” in the article.  Looks more like a silencer to me--which is another Federal violation.

So when is the Fed prosecutor going to weigh in with charges?
