Adult film star Jenna Jameson is going to be a mommy.
[...]
But the 34-year-old Jameson — who split from adult film studio owner Jay Grdina in 2006 and from porn star Brad Armstrong in 2001— said they have no plans to walk down the aisle.
“I think I’m gonna stay unmarried and just go for the babies!” she told Us. “I’m following in Angelina’s footsteps!”
[...]
She previously told Us she discovered she was two months pregnant in November 2004 after being diagnosed with malignant melanoma. A day later, she miscarried due to the stress of cancer.
But the devout Catholic — who has tried in vitro — told Us, “It was all in God’s plan.”
Zappa wrote a song called Catholic Girls. I won’t post the lyrics but it sure seems appropriate considering the topic.

Does the Pope know about this? LOLOL!

IVF is a no-no, for starters…
Posted by dad29 on August 27, 2008 at 0652 hrsDaddyZero helps demonstrate the utter moral bankruptcy of the current leadership of the so-called “pro-life” movement. If IVF be a moral non-starter, for example, where is the non-stop, no-hold-barred teary-eyed campaign against it? Other than a few goofy gestures (like firing the teacher in the Fox Valley who admitted using it to produce twins), the pro-life movement sits on its hands on the topic. With stem cell research, on the other hand (which produces far less “dead babies”—tens of thousands of fertilized eggs are destroyed every year after IVF succeeds or the suckers run out of money), we get every nut group crying crocodile tears 24-7. What gives? These people are shameless hypocrites!

Nice rant.

She’ll probably gain 3 pounds during her pregnancy.
Posted by on August 27, 2008 at 0920 hrsShould be a case study for any Theology class - a constant struggle between what the Bible says to do and someone who just doesn’t want to believe it, so they invent their own rules.
Not my job to judge, but I hope she figures it out sooner rather than later.
Posted by on August 27, 2008 at 1702 hrsJust so it’s clear, Bill: one CAN (and often should) judge actions.
One cannot judge the state of another’s soul--that IS beyond our paygrades.
But calling a spade a spade is perfectly licit.
Posted by dad29 on August 27, 2008 at 1735 hrsMatthew 7 - 1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Oooooo!! A proof-texter!!
I guess you have a “biblical problem” with the justice system, eh, Bill? You should try that line next time you’re accused of speeding and the cop has documented evidence thereof.
I will repeat: NOTHING in Catholic theology prohibits judging an ACTION. But to make it even clearer for you, Bill, ACTION is not the same as ACTOR. Thus, Christ’s admonition was directed toward ‘judging’ the ACTOR--or more precisely, the state of the sould of the ACTOR--but Christ never suggested that one cannot judge ACTIONS.
“By their fruits you shall know them.”
Got another proof-text?
Posted by dad29 on August 28, 2008 at 0738 hrsI prefer not to get into a theological debate with you, but I don’t follow anything the Catholic church dreams up.
Stick to the Bible.

I grew up in a small town where there was one public high school and a catholic grade/middle school.
So come high school all the kids that went to the catholic middle school came to the public high school.
The catholic kids were the ones that introduced drinking to all us public schoolers. And the catholic girls… well…
I’m sure that story is just anecdotal though.
Fine, Bill.
But remember that the Bible does not contradict Common Sense.
