Poll Watcher

I heard there was a NAACP poll watcher at the West Bend Library today. I suspect it was looking for some poor person being “disenfranchised” by the new voter ID law. I wonder if they fabricated

found anything.

  1. Pollworkers Report Few Voter ID Issues

Lena Mitchell, a poll worker at Mitchell Court Senior Apartments, said many of their residents made the transition without too much incident.

“Some of my residents didn’t understand,” she said. “I explained it to them, they went and got their ID, and we had no problem.”

    ...

Milwaukee Election Commission Executive Director Sue Edman said issues were few today. At Cambridge Commons on the UW-Milwaukee campus, one woman was turned away after she brought in an ID card from 1970.

“She came back with something else,” Edman said. “I don’t know if it was a test or what, but the matter was resolved.”

... aaaaaaannnnnnddddd we’re all still here this morning to talk about it. wink

  2. I’m sure NAACP will find someone not smart enough to go to DMV to get a free ID.

I like ID and SIGNING for ballot!  No one can steal my vote.

This voter ID bill was long overdue!

We had BIG registration of 18-year olds in Kewaskum yesterday according to conversation with election clerk yesterday afternoon.  They had no problem with Voter ID at all.

The 2 liberal incumbents on Kewaskum School Board lost yesterday.  1 of the 2 is out of race, based on result of primary.  Other incumbent came in 4th place for 2 seats.

Great choices in April for Kewaskum School Board.
