Pea Plant in Man’s Lung

Ewwwww...

Doctors in Boston have made an unbelievable discovery inside a man’s lung - they found a pea plant growing inside his lung.

Ron Sveden said he had been sick for months, and on Memorial Day, he was rushed to the hospital after his health took a turn for the worse. He said he expected doctors to diagnose him with cancer or a tumor, but not a plant growing in his lung.

  1. Doctors removed the plant. They suspect he had eaten a pea at some point in the last couple of months, and it went down the wrong way.

4 years undergrad, 2 years post grad, 3 years med school, internship residency.  Glad they figured out that the plant didnt just sprout there spontaneously.

  2. Now, a half-century later, I understand why my mother kept yelling at me, “Quit inhaling your food!”

  3. Remember the Russian man with a fir tree in his lung? I think that one turned out to be a hoax.
