Parents Apparently Parenting

Let’s hope this study is true.

Parents are taking a more active role in raising their children than they did a decade ago, setting greater restrictions on TV watching and reading more to youngsters, the government reported Wednesday.

Teenagers are participating in more extracurricular activities that focus on education, at the expense of sports, according to the study.

I would just like to take an optimistic moment here (a little out of character for me, but we all have our moments of weakness), and give a big kudo to the parents out there who don’t view the idiotbox as a cheap babysitter.  Our kids have enough friends… In the long run, they’ll love and respect you more for being a parent.
