Pakistan Gave China Access to American Stealth Helicopter

Well, isn’t that just wonderful...

Pakistan gave China access to the previously unknown “stealth” helicopter that crashed during the commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden in May despite explicit requests from the CIA not to, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.

The revelation, if confirmed, is likely to further shake the U.S.-Pakistan relationship, which has been improving slightly after hitting its lowest point in decades following the May 2 bin Laden raid.

  1. This doesn’t bother me.  The Chi-coms paid for it…right?  That is their loan collateral.

  2. So Pakistan gave away nuclear technology, stealth technology and who knows what else and this is our buddy?  Maybe it is time the USA stopped trying to buy friendship.  It obviously does not work.  If we stop giving our money away worldwide, how much of an effect would it have on our balance of payments and deficit?

  3. The only one that I can think of that would love to see us end our relationship with Pakistan is India…who may not get along to well with China. Gets you dizzy dealing with those parts of the world.

  4. It is not like it is in some hanger somewhere, it is in the courtyard of a house.  This is one of those cases where the story is told to make it sound worse than it was.

Why did the US not go pick it up?

  5. Why did the US not go pick it up?

A good question but think about it - if they had to use a stealth helicopter to go there they couldnt exactly go in a cargo plane to transport it back!

  6. I am pretty sure that Pakistan would have let the US pull up with a flatbed truck and drive it away.

  7. ‘In my opinion, there are only two necessary requirements concerning mangoes. Firstly, they should be sweet and secondly, they should be plentiful!’
Shefta narrated that these are the Ghalib’s comments in one gathering in which the mangoes are under discussion.
