What do you think you will see tonight?

  1. I’d like to see Brett plunge into the end zone on a QB sneak with no time on the clock to win the game!

What will I see: a lot of over thrown passes and AP running up and down the field.

  2. What we’ll see is a man who made a $12 mil a year career decision, and a few million people who are upset about it because they think it’s some kind of personal insult to them.

  3. I agree with Bill on the second part.  AP will run all over the Packers.  I don’t think it will be pretty for us Packers fans.

The only way I see the Packers win is turnovers, lots of them.

  4. I would like to see BJ Raji sack Brent Favre, and then take a 15-yard penalty for sitting on his head while he’s down.

What we will see?  Hard to say.  I live in a place where the networks consider the Vikings to be the local team, so I’ve seen all three of their games this season.  Their 3-0 record conceals a lot of really mediocre football.  The Vikings have trailed at halftime in each of their first three games, against teams that are somewhere between decent (49ers) and downright terrible (Browns, Lions).  If the Packers bring the turnover-generating defense and not the one that was leading police escorts down the field for the Cincinnati offense, they’ll be in good shape.

We should also remember that, since Brent’s last Super Bowl, he himself has been mediocre to absolutely rotten in most anything you could call a big game.  Put that 2007 fairy-tale playoff run aside (and even that ended as the result of a Brent Favre miscue), and he’s been pretty abominable when it’s mattered the most.

But ultimately, the Packers’ o-line has to find a way to contain Jared Allen.  Unlike the Vikings, the Packers actually need to throw the football to win.  They do that, the Packers probably win.  They fail, the Packers probably lose.

  6. I would like to see Brett call a time out and run to the Green Bay sideline.

  7. Scott - but it couldn’t have been a $12 million career decision - Brett Favre doesn’t care about money - Brett Favre would play play the game for nothing. (TM)  smile

  8. I won’t get to see any of it :(  This is probably one of the very few, very rare times when I’ve wanted to have tv available.  We’re better off without it, but I do miss watching football on occasion.

I hope the Packers trounce the Vikings smile

  10. I predict a late hit/personal foul penanlty and Favre leaving the game as a result.

  11. I want to see over-weight, fried-cheese eating, green and yellow Zuma pants wearing men cry like little fat babies.

The rest is just kabuki theater to me.

  12. I want to see Favre sacked - a lot, and not gently.

What will I see?  Since this is one of the few Packers games I get to see, it is probably the one I want to see the least.  So most of it will be between my fingers as I try not to look.  But it all depends on if they can stop Peterson and force Favre to force throw it.

  13. mommablogger, without TV you can still see what’s happening via nfl.com’s Game Center.

But what you will see is a 35-10 game, Vikings.

What I’m not sure of is if that will be the halftime score or only the after one quarter.

  14. Thanks Lloyd, will it be the live game, or just updates and clips?  We were thinking of trying to get the antenna signal, but it hasn’t worked well in the past here…  and we don’t have a converter box.

  16. Does anyone remember when Brett was in Aaron’s shoes? - bad offensive line, running for his life. Maybe it will toughen Aaron up. But, if he gets some protection, I think Rodgers could be deadly. We’ve got the receivers, although Lee really needs to catch that damn pass.

  17. After watching that- i believe it’s time for a comeback.

As an unusually good holder -and grabber- and tripper in college- I know it is positively unmanly to get your quarterback hit that much

One thing we can all agree on- our line play is awful- and it’s only a matter of time before AR gets hurt
