Open Carry Get-Together in West Bend

Here’s a great chance to mingle with some great folks!

Join dozens of SE Wisconsin residents for an open-carry get-together at Starbucks in West Bend on Sunday Sept. 26th at 1pm. Network with your fellow rights’-minded Wisconsinites who carry for self-defense in the only manner allowed in Wisconsin:

Open-Carry.

Open-Carry is encouraged but not required. Most will be open-carrying. This group typically meets once a month around SE Wisconsin to socialize over a caffeinated beverage. If you’ve never open-carried before this is an opportunity to interact with individuals who go armed for self-defense on a daily basis in Wisconsin and advocate for the rights of law-abiding residents to carry.

The Chairman/President of the non-profit Wisconsin Carry, Inc. Wisconsin’s fastest growing carry-rights organization has been invited to attend and share with other attendee’s the current status of WCI’s Federal Lawsuits including the lawsuit they filed challenging the constitutionality of Wisconsin’s Gun-Free-School-Zone law and share other information about WCI’s efforts, present and future.

When: Sunday Sept. 26th 2010 1pm - 4pm

  1. has someone had the forethought to let the management of Starbucks know that this is taking place so that when a group of armed people enter the store the employees and customers don’t flip out.  While the group is legal in what they are doing not everyone is as comfortable with the concept as the people that will be gathering.  Or, is the shock value part of the plan?

  2. I don’t know if anyone notified Starbucks management.  Probably.  The choice for Starbucks is likely because Starbucks very publicly passed a policy stating that they welcome patrons who might also happen to be legally carrying firearms.

The plan is to show people that just because a group of armed citizens gather, it doesn’t mean there is a reason for people to be alarmed.

  7. I hope somebody invited Senator Johnson.

Oops, I guess I’m getting a jump on things.

Seriously, someone should let Ron Johnson know about this.  It would be great for showing everybody that he’s just like the rest of us here.

Heck, I’d even offer him a chaw of my tobbacca.

I’d like to see Feingold’s reaction to my offer!!!

    I’m gonna say it: Feingold’s a PUSSYcat.

  8. Know the laws BEFORE you join in the fun.  ie, Don’t put your gun on your hip and then get in your car and drive with a loaded pistol or decide to show the cop who shows up your new gun by pulling it out of the holster.  Be safe!
