  1. Did I hear “Cominskey” park?

  2. He also stepped right on the 1st base line!  WTF!

  3. And he moved to Chicago in the mid-80s. That’s 20+ years, and doesn’t know a single player. I’ve lived in Chicago for 6 years, and can name players from every Chicago team, along with who I think is the best player from each team. Except the Bears. They all suck.

  4. Smartest. President. Ever.

  5. Yeah, cuz this is vital knowledge.

  6. Absolutely hilarious.  What makes this all the more terrific - it’s not like this was completely out of nowhere, like asking a question like that was out of line or a gotcha. He’s held himself up to be a huge Sox fan - and went into full studder and double-talk mode when he couldn’t name a single one.

A perfect example of how duplicitous he is.

  7. A perfect example of how he’s got plenty of other things to worry about than the current roster of the White Sox.

I’ve been a Bucks fan all my life, and I can only name one current player.

Move on folks, nothing to see here (unless all you do is spend every hour of every day looking for reasons to attack your opponents….oh….nevermind….)

  8. George,

He wasn’t asked about the current roster, but for one of his favorite players.  He couldn’t come up with Frank Thomas?  Come on, you don;t live in a major city and not at least have the name of one player from the local franchise embedded in your brain, even if you AREN’T a fan. Just plain exposure in the news media will do that…

  9. They did ask him “when he was growing up”.  That would’ve been the late 60’s to late 70’s.  Can anyone name a White Sox player during that time?  I had to google to remind me. Plus, didn’t he say he was a Oakland fan then, when he was in Hawaii?

  10. They asked him, “when he was growing up?’ because he previous said he was “a south-side kid”.  And we all know he did not grow up there; however, he probably just using the term “kid” in a broad sense.  In the end its a pointless banter interview, but it does add to the pattern of painting himself into a demographic he really does not relate to.

  11. He said he became a Sox fan when he moved to Chicago, and even went to a couple of games in (yes, he said it) “Cominsky” [sic] Park.  This was 1982, Chicago roster for that year includes, Carlton Fisk, Jerry Hairston, Harold Baines, Ron Le Flore; 1987 remove Le Flore and add Ozzie Guillen; 1992 Fisk again, Guillen, Steve Sax, Frank Thomas, ‘Papa’ George Bell…He couldn’t come up with one name?

  12. But he did come up with Jerry Reinsdorf, my guess is because of the Bulls and the fact that he also owns the Sox is just happenstance, but that is just my opinion.  Odd that a ‘fan’ would come up with the owner’s name but not one of several star players…

  13. “The nice thing about the sox is, it’s real blue collar baseball. We always teased about the Cubs, they… you know… they’re up at Wrigley… sipping wine…”

Yes, that’s him… Barack “Blue Collar” Obama… who can’t name a single player but knows who the rich owner of the team is.

I guess POTUS left the TOTUS back at the White House.

What a huge phony this guy is…. sipping wine…. spare me, Barack.

  14. Incredible.  Despite this, wingnuts worship a president who didn’t know his ABCs, voted for a candidate in 2008 that drooled, and will vote for multiple college dropout half-term goverslut.

Incredible, someone who fancies himself the general of a liberal “insurgency” group (FAILED), and bookstore (epically FAILED, despite the infusion of public money) entrepreneur/grifter, is still reduced to foul language and despicable epithets, while worshipping at the feet of a President who thinks there are 57 states, nominated Joe Biden as VP, sounds worse than Bush when off prompter, uses “uh” or “um” as every other word of every speech, and cannot even prepare for a radio interview on a radio station in the city he “grew up in”.

Congrats Keith… You ever think about running for office? Now that would be fun. You are literally SO insignificant that you have nothing to say other than insults. You are a high school bully, all grown up… unable to break free of your sophomoric mindset or accept that your minute sphere of influence just isn’t very important. Furthermore, the illiterate, the drooler, AND the goverslut are all a fair bit more successful than you are…. Anyone who would be willing to associate themselves with your vile, vitriolic organization are no more than the simpleton bully you are.

  15. What a huge phony this guy is…. sipping wine…. spare me, Barack.

Spare me indeed. Wasn’t it Obama who declared Wednesday nights “cocktail” night at the White House (in a time of war) serving $100.00/lb Kobe beef to his guestlist? Hmmmm, but he likes the “Blue Collar” team. Barack Obama has never, ever, worn a blue collar…. What an abject hypocrite.

  16. Incredible.  Despite this, wingnuts worship a president who didn’t know his ABCs…

Almost as bad as a guy who didn’t know the 1,2,3s on his profit and loss statement.

Always nice to hear what the unhinged Kos folks are saying Keith. As usual, not much.

  17. Again, why is this important?

Posted by .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on April 07, 2010 at 2114 hrs

  18. Why was it important when President Bush was in the White House, but now that Barack is there, with the new meme that he is a wise professor, you ignore his non-prompter inability to make any sense at all.

Let’s not overlook the fact that it again illustrates the vapid dishonesty that Barack carries with him. It’s also condescending for him to think that the unwashed baseball loving dopes will adore him if he pretends to be a fan of their “blue collar” entertainment. It smacks of liberal elitism, just like the “beer” summit did. This is just another glimpse into the soul of the man who so loathes all those gun and bible clinging Americans whose liberties he is stealing.

That’s why this is important George. It speaks to character.

  19. Ouch, tough video!  Reminds me of George HW Bush not knowing the price of milk - people are always tripped up by their stereotypes.  Bush was disconnected and elite, Obama is not a ‘real American’ - but ultimately, I doubt a single vote did or will change as a result of these gaffes.

This is unrelated, hope it’s ok that I put this link in here!
We are the brain injury attorney los angeles specialists - probably not a lot of Dodger fans here, but what the heck…
