Wow. You can see the brain a whizzing. What do I do? If I take the cane will I look as old as McCain? If I don’t take the cane, will I look ungrateful of my supporters? Would I have to claim the cane on my campaign finance reports? What is that worth? Is she trying to hit me?
BTW, Obama was speaking at a PUBLIC High School. I thought it was inappropriate to mix government and religion. ![]()
All he needs is that cane, a velvet bucket hat, and a leisure suit and he can totally embrace his inner pimp.

If a conservative said that, he’d/she’d be called a racist.
Ah, the burden conservatives bear in the name of contributing to the rainbow of political discourse in our nation.
For the record, a white guy can also walk around with a pimp cane, velvet bucket hat, and a leisure suit as well. Except he’d look less like a pimp and more like Willy Wonka.
Or…it could be that a photographer caught the Senator in the middle of a changing expression and it got posted cause it made him look goofy.
BTW, it would take more than a fashion accesory to make the Senator look as old as McCain.
The last sentence of the post is inches away from being an actual, rational thought. But not quite.
The brains of the couple front & center are “whizzing” - yippee, free health care for all!
Ghod ... this loon is helpless without his handlers.
Any politician worth his salt would take it, say thank you, and hand it to a staffer afterwards.
If anyone seriously questions the approprietness of the gift, a “just being polite” statement is easy.
