And she’s taking Rupert with her.
Or something like that. Soon Rachel will be spelling words with extra “u"s and telling us about her exciting experiences with bangers and mash. And now she can watch the British version of C-SPAN and giggle hysterically when the people in Parliament harrumph at each other.
Oh, and she’s getting married.
Congratulations, Rachel and Rupert!
Given what Rachel thinks about Britain, I can’t WAIT to see her posts from there!!
Congratulations indeed. At least she will get good health care—http://blog.beliefnet.com/godspolitics/2007/08/jim-wallis-my-encounter-with-i.html
I know! Her husband’s employer will have private health care! Thank goodness, right, or she would be screwed.
Wendy obviously didn’t read the link.
Ahhh, except Wendy the employer does not have to provide health care insurance in the UK, a cost saving for doing business.
But this employer will be providing it…
Why would they provide something that is already available?
Yes, the employer will be providing it in this case. Good thing.
In case of what?
If you read the link, “Rupert” has been offered a transfer by his company from the US to Britain. Part of the incentive package is employer provided insurance.
I give up. I tried an CTL F and could not find anything that led me to his supposed employer provided health care insurance.
But I did get the pleasure to read a lot ignorant comments about the National Health Care system from people who never experienced it.
Good grief, Keith. It’s in the next post. Would it kill you to admit you’re not all-knowing?
No, Wendy, just interested in the facts. Chill babe.
