Obama Wants Oppressive Mandate on Business Like Milwaukee

Coming soon!

Expand Paid Sick Days: Half of all private sector workers have no paid sick days and the problem is worse for employees in low-paying jobs, where less than a quarter receive any paid sick days. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will require that employers provide seven paid sick days per year.

  1. Awesome! Then it won’t just be Milwaukee that lose jobs… we can do lose them together as one nation! Good call, President Obama!

  2. I followed the link, but there must be something wrong with it - I couldn’t find the damn buttons to push to get that help with the mortgage and gas for my tank!  What will the Peggy Josephs of the country do until that feature is activated?  I know that he isn’t President for 73 days yet, but there should at least be buttons labeled “HOPE/This area under construction” until then.

  5. The change.gov website is truly frightening in its obfuscation.  I see the word, “fair” used a lot.  I remember some of the kids I played ball with when I was young.  Some of them sucked.  Instead of working to become good or finding something else they were good at, they claimed it wasn’t “fair” that they sucked.

This is what we’re up against.  The party in power consists of the people who weren’t any good at something.  Now it’s payback time.

  6. They’re very good at obfuscation and misdirection, Steve, don’t you dare take that from them!

  7. They took down all the scary stuff when people started noticing.  That doesn’t mean they’re not going to do it, it just means they don’t want us to know until it’s too late.

  8. Speaking of which, I heard on 1130 AM on the way to work on Friday that a group of businesses is considering suing the City of Milwaukee over the sick leave referendum.

I found it odd I didn’t hear any complaints about using the courts when the voters have spoken.

I didn’t agree with the yes vote, but I’m just sayin’

  9. Great.  another step to making Milwaukee the new Detroit.  I hope the courts rule for the city.  Last one out, turn out the lights.

  11. On Inauguration Day 09, look to see the newly minted Hammer and Sickel flag to wave proudly in the breeze as Komrade Obama takes over as Premier of the United States of Amerika, while the Soviet Union anthem is played.

Seriously—let’s hope that lawsuit is successful to throw out the latest unfunded mandate against the business community.
