Obama Selling Access

No shocker here.

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd criticized Monday the new fundraising efforts of President Obama’s dark money group, Organizing for Action, calling a scheme for high donors to meet regularly with Obama “the definition of selling access.”

Todd was describing the quarterly meetings that will be enjoyed by OFA’s $500,000 donors, the New York Times reported over the weekend:

[...]

“This just looks bad–it looks like the White House is selling access,” Todd said Monday. “It’s the definition of selling access. If you believe money has a strangle hold over the entire political system this is ceding the moral high ground.”

  2. This is the brave new world conservatives wanted in terms of campaign finance, this is the world they get. Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em.

  3. He’s not my guy; he’s never been my guy, but even if it were my guy, this would be wrong.

    It’s the Chicago Way.

  4. This story won’t have any legs because few believe politicians possess either ethics or morals and public opinion of them is already so low that one more story won’t matter,

  5. This is what happens when one pushes for government to control and possess more resources.  Corruption.

It becomes a blood sport of who gets to control the pirated gold.

Liberalism, and some conservatives, constantly lobby for even more governent control.

Both sides, especially liberals, need to stop ignoring the absolute problem of absolute power corrupting absolutely.

To stick with your comparison, then it’d be because it’s better than running into the arms of the serial killer next door.

  9. The serial killer next door isn’t the guy who provided the weapons to the Sinaloa drug cartel, who then used them in mass killings.  So yeah, you’re guy isn’t a serial killer.  He’s got that goin’ for him.

  11. How ‘bout letting a bunch of criminal illegal aliens out of jail?  Didn’t Castro and Saddam Hussein used to do stuff like that as a tactic?

  12. Sorry, running a business and coaching a team.

    Lets see
    1) getting the troops out of Iraq- unpaid for War 1
    2) winding down the war in Afghanistan -unpaid for War 2
    3) stabilized an economy in economic free fall because of conservative and neocon policies that drove the USA to the brink of financial insolvency- see 1 and 2 .

If that’s all he did, just fixing the screw ups of the past, he would be a good President.

And the beauty of it is, you don’t have to agree with me because 55% of the American people do

I forgot one other thing. Like another first , Jackie Robinson, he smiled and waved and kicked you ass as he was doing it.

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Hahahahaha. Have you been shopping lately?

If that’s all he did, just fixing the screw ups of the past, he would be a good President.

The 55% with their hand out. Most, not all, but most of my lib friends voted fro your messiah for the entitlements.

I forgot one other thing. Like another first , Jackie Robinson, he smiled and waved and kicked you ass as he was doing it.
You, Mark, are truly, the uninformed voter.
