Obama Is Not Muslim
Huh.
A new poll showed that nearly one in five people, or 18 percent, believe Obama is Muslim. That was up from 11 percent who said so in March 2009. The survey also showed that just 34 percent said Obama is Christian, down from 48 percent who said so last year. The largest share of people, 43 percent, said they don’t know his religion.
White House spokesman Bill Burton said most Americans care more about the economy and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and “they are not reading a lot of news about what religion the president is.” He commented on Air Force One as Obama headed for a vacation in Massachusetts on Martha’s Vineyard.
Burton added, “The president is obviously a Christian. He prays everyday.”
I couldn’t care less. I’m more concerned with his disastrous policies than to whom or what he prays.
Praying everyday does not make you a Christian.

Everyone knows that Democrats are incapable of being Christian. I must agree with Bill. Praying alone does not make you Christian. In order to be a true Christian you must—like Jesus—support unlimited gun rights, the death penalty, tax cuts (in particular for the wealthy), preemptive war and, most importantly, Ronald Reagan! And, of course, you must be willing to judge any and everyone as to whether they satisfy these and other necessary Christian prerequisites.

It appears that being a Muslim is now like being gay. It is ok unless someone says that you are one. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Has no Church in Washington nor attends Church…..
Blows off National Prayer breakfast and 100 year anniversary of the Boy Scouts but finds time in between busy vacation schedule to host special Ramadan dinner at the White House….

Steve—Your evidence is compelling. Obama IS Muslim. And was also born in Kenya. The question is not what is wrong with the 20% who know the truth. The question is what is wrong with the remaining 80% of the country. They won’t wake up until the Qur’an is mandatory for all 3rd graders, along with daily prayer facing Mecca.

Oh come on. I think Obama’s policies are mostly horseshit, and I think he’s a bad president, but he’s a smart guy. In real life he isn’t ANY religion. He’s too smart for that. He’s a wink wink, nudge nudge Christian because most of America is really stupid and they expect their president to equally stupid about such things.

This is a fun diversion. What I always find interesting is how the left has been brought into embracing Islam via Obama’s outreaches.
Many Muslim societies generally are very closed and not at all compatible with a US view of individual rights. For all the belly-aching the left does over the Religious Right in the US, that group appears to be wild eyed liberals compared with most Muslims.
Does anyone else find it this paradox interesting?

Completely agree. Anyone who takes actions which I disagree with politically is per se incompetent. All Democrats therefore are of sub-human intelligence. I do not believe that anyone holding opposing views can also be intelligent. I don’t care if they went to Columbia and Harvard. You either see things my way or you must lack basic intelligence. I’d be just as appalled if he were Muslim as I would be if he were Christian. Two (one?) horrible, horrible belief structures.

This is something interesting to know about a poll of a president’s religion.Well I also think like you that President’s policies are more important than a religion.People are not that much interested in this kind of poll.

I couldn’t care less.
It’s great that you don’t care about his religion. But that’s not what this story is really about. It’s about the fact that a huge number of Americans have been specifically misled into thinking that Obama is Muslim. Which tells you two things: First, that there are some desperate and vile people out there, and two, that a frighteningly high numbers of Americans can be easily misled.
Do you care about any of that?
