NK Threatens Nuclear Response

Someone might want to look into this

North Korea says it will use its “nuclear deterrent” in response to joint US-South Korean military exercises this weekend.

Pyongyang was ready to launch a “retaliatory sacred war” at any time, the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.

Washington and Seoul say the war games are to deter North Korean aggression.

Tensions between the two Koreas have been high since the sinking of a South Korean warship in March.

  1. Now we’ll see if that anti-missile system actually works, eh?

  2. Perhaps a presidential visit to Pyongyang is in order, resplendent with apologies, bowing, and kowtowing.

It IS what we are known for these days.

  6. Uhh, we’ve all seen how well those NK missile systems work. They’d probably just end up nuking themselves.

  7. Of course, George.  WE are the idiots.  The appeasers, who have made NoKo so much more bold and are losing the war in Afghanistan for us are freakin’ BRILLIANT.  Yeah, that’s it.

  8. For eight years Bush II had a brilliant strategic approach to NK. It took Obama only 17 months to ruin it. It’ll be up to President Romney to fix the mess.

  10. If the best post Obumbler leadership we can come up with is President Romney, then we are in real trouble. Politically, Romney is John McCain with mannequin hair. Yech!

  11. Joe Mamma:

“Uhh, we’ve all seen how well those NK missile systems work. They’d probably just end up nuking themselves.”

Wouldn’t that be the ultimate irony? LOL
But guess who would be there first to aid them.

Time to just look the other way and say, you played with fire and you got burned. Let China send them some of their tainted products, maybe it’ll finish the job

  12. They say, “Weakness begets agression.” One could add to that, “Bowing to agression gets you kicked in the keester.”

Hey look, it’s George, offering no counterpoint, no argument, no intelligence whatsoever…. That in itself is not nearly as shocking as the fact that he has managed to avoid using the F word for 12 whole posts! Good work George, maybe when you finish middle school we can start getting you to post actual ideas, maybe have you present a genuine alternative discourse?

    On topic:

I think that NK is bluffing the world about its nuclear capabilities. All three of their “tests” have been laughable. Does this mean that we shouldn’t take the threat seriously? No, absolutely not.

NK is a belligerent, and should be treated as such. Unfortunately ASOL’s point about what we are known for is absolutely true, and I could see a continuation of the “apology tour” being the tactic chosen by this ridiculously under-equipped administration…

  14. Apparently North Korea has not discovered what every other nuclear power knows—which is, nuclear weapons work for deterrence, but, they’re not actually good for anything else.

Of course, it’s possible that North Korea does not have actually working nuclear weapons.  But, the perception that they might seems to be sufficient.
