New Trial Ordered for Jensen
This is some good news for Jensen.
A state appeals court today granted former state Assembly Speaker Scott Jensen a new trial after determining a Dane County judge gave the jury improper instructions in his corruption case.
Briefly the court told the jury that using state resources to obtain would be a dishonest advantage but it did not sufficiently qualify that or otherwise make clear to the jury that it must still find that Jensen intended to obtain that disadvantage.
