  1. When the other team fumbles 6 times - you had better win.

  3. Will the Vikings get to endure the off-season will-he/won’t-he retire drama?

  4. The big mystery tonight was “Which Brett Favre was going to show up for the game”?  Was it the brilliant, gun slinging future HOF quarterback whose last minute heroics would lead the Vikings to victory?  Or the 40 year old egomaniac who throws into double and triple coverage and hands the game over with another of his patented “WTF?” performances?

Favre’s QB rating was 67.2%.  You don’t win championship games with that caliber of play.  Great game for the Saints and the city of New Orleans.

  5. Hm. well, while I am not, repeat, am NOT a Vikings fan, I was sort of hoping to see Favre in the Super Bowl again. Yes he is a primadona, Yes he can’t make a quick off season decision to save his life ( I love the commercial where he is buying the TV), but I love to see the man play football. If he wanted another season or two before he hung up his helmet, I’m ok with that. The Vikings outplayed the Saints, all except for that holding onto the football thing. I thought they were the better team in this match-up.

  6. TFG, therein lies the problem. If the Vikings were the better team, then they wouldn’t have commited 5 turnovers not to mention the really REALLY dumb 12 men in the huddle penalty near the end of regulation. Had they not had that penalty and ran the ball one more time (without fumbling), that would have been a makeable kick for Longwell.

My hope was that Favre would throw a Pick 6 to his old buddy Darren Sharper in OT to end the game.

  7. Yay…another Super Bowl between ‘Who Cares’ and ‘So What’.  But, it is a good time to catch up on my napping.

  8. So what would have been your dream Super Bowl match-up Pelican Pants?

  9. As a life-long Viking hater, it was nice to see them lose but a fifth loss at the Super Bowl would have been fun as well.

I dunno - the Colts aren’t the most exciting team, but I think the Saints making it for the first time ever is a good story.

As far as the queens go, I was happy to see them lose, especially with Brent at the helm.
