This is the kind of shit I am disgusted with. I just got off the phone with an AP reporter speaking out against this shit. The snowballs at the capital, the climbing through windows—WTF.
I promise you that I have been doing my best to funnel and channel their frustrations in to something meaningful and useful—like helping us in District 8 get signatures!
Seriously. This does not represent my group by any stretch. I am hoping to speak in Madison on Saturday to curb this behavior. It is bullshit and it does no one—you or me—any good.

See, now this one I believe is from a liberal. The e-mail on Sykes writes is just too obviously a ploy/prank. I still don’t think it is a serious death threat because, historically, there is a very high ratio of threats to acts of violence to politicians in American (world) history.

Actually this does all of us some good. This makes it clear that there are goons involved in attempts to disrupt not only democracy but civil order at its core. What is up with the zombie like chats of “peaceful peaceful” as they pour in through the windows? This is a call for anarchy and mob rule. These goons laying in front of doors are begging to be cuffed and billy clubbed. I say, let them have it. I can’t pick a cause and sprawl out all over the capital building as long as I want. Out of curiosity, what is your source on this? The police? The senator? I’ve been looking around for confirmation on the internet and the only references to it link back here. No offense, but without some kind of verifiable source for this you could have just written the note yourself and taken a picture on your own carpet.

Ditto the last two comments. Although honestly, for as much crap as I give the teabaggers, at least they show some basic respect for the institution and for other people’s property.
Maybe now we can get past the ridiculous mob mentality and our elected officials can get back to work on all of the other matters that need attention. Not holding my breath, but a guy can hope, right?

Thank you for the clarification. After I posted my query I was able to find a picture of Grothman’s office on the web, and although the angle and lighting were problematic, the pattern does appear to match.
I hope you’ll understand my questioning, as you are still the only outlet with this particular image and info. All the other references on the web currently are either in relation to the email, the video of Grothman stuck outside from last week, or links back here. This seems like it would have made major news by now, and I’m still a bit befuddled as to why it hasn’t.

Just imagine if the tables were turned, and someone wrote the same note to a Democratic legislator! It would be front page news in every paper in WI., and shared with the world within hours, but threats, violence and intimidation are the lifeblood of public unions and their supporters. Obama told his supporters to “get in the faces” of voters, encouraging other socialist/Marxists to be confrontave to their neighbors. Way to promote peace!! But mob tactics are how they “operate”, and they make NO APOLOGIES for it, all the while calling TEA Party patriots violent, racist, radical and extremists, and with the full support of the Marxist media, who are nothing more than propaganda puppets of this administration. And I think it’s widely known, that this uprising is being orchestrated by the White House.

That is horrible. Horrible, and there is absolutely no excuse. Loons, I am positive that lib/Dem legislators have received their share of death threats over the years. Mark Pocan spoke of getting pictures of himself with “Dead Faggot” scrawled over his face. I believe him.

MADISON – The Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation and the Wisconsin Capitol Police have investigated numerous threats against elected officials over the last four weeks. Last evening, the DCI identified and located a subject suspected of sendi…ng at least two of those threats.
The suspect subsequently admitted to authoring and sending two e-mails threatening to kill the Governor and members of the Senate. DCI Administrator Ed Wall said “The Division of Criminal Investigation takes these kind of threats seriously ...and will follow through with the investigation and prosecution whenever possible.”This investigation is still ongoing and no further information will be released pending presentation to the District Attorney in the jurisdiction of the threat origination. The Department of Justice has notified members of the Governor’s Office and Senate in regard to the recent developments in this investigation.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice says it has located one of the people who sent death threats to elected officials during the controversy at the state Capitol. The female suspect wasn’t named, but the state says she was located last Thursday.
I guess we’ll see if Pat was right and this was some right winger trying to make the left ‘look bad’.
