New Blogad

I should point out that I certainly don’t agree with the message in our new blogad, but I’m delighted to have their money!

  2. Regarding that ridiculous ad on your page… I’m glad they are paying you money for that crap! What a bunch of maroons.

This might be a stupid question: Do liberals really believe that Gov. Walker has arranged for the National Guard to act AGAINST state workers, rather than what he actually planned for, which is to REPLACE them if there is a strike??? Are the liberals really that sheepish and dumb to believe that propaganda? Really?

And in regards to the planned walkout in more schools tomorrow, what would be an appropriate punishment I wonder?

Some might say… “Fire. Them. All.” Make them all re-apply for their jobs at a lower wage and no CBA. Strip them of tenure/seniority and let them see how hard it is to get a job right now for everyone else. Harsh? Perhaps. Then again, what they are doing is ILLEGAL and has nothing to do with ‘the kids’.. it’s all about ‘me, me and me’.

    Some might say… indeed.

  3. Serious question looking for opinions:

Is Gov. Walker going to face an equal protection challenge to this bill because he is specifically targeting certain groups of public employees while leaving others alone?

I honestly believe it’ll get challenged on equal protection grounds, and the State will have to explain why they need to eliminate most public unions while leaving the police, fire, etc… untouched.

    Thoughts?

  4. I may be wrong, but doesn’t the Equal Protection Clause only apply to specific forms of discrimination (race, sex, religion, etc.) Besides, I am pretty sure other states already have legislation in effect that have separate agreements/contracts with their public safety unions (fire, police, etc.).

  6. I’m glad you’ve got a set of ethics worked up that allows you to cash the check.  That must make it far easier to look at yourself in the mirror when you shave.

And yet if we rejected the ad, we’d no doubt be accused of operating an echo chamber.

It usually sounds more like a barbershop quartet.

  10. No Jed.  First, if you’re going to accept ads without standards then you either keep your peace or admit to no standards.  You don’t badmouth the people who pay you money.  That’s just ungrateful.

Second, that’s not whay anyone would call this an echo chamber.  If you refuse the ad and say nothing, no one knows but you three. Problem solved.

  11. Yep, grumps. You’re just better than us.

You don’t badmouth the people who pay you money.  That’s just ungrateful.

Tell that to the 30,000 public employees at the Capitol right now banging on windows and preventing our government from doing its job.
