Neumann Getting Desperate

From Badger Blogger.

Mark Neumann is claiming that he is receiving “overwhelming support from Tea Party members.” But the reality isn’t so… Overwhelming.

The Wisconsin 9/12 Project, which is not affiliated with any of the TEA Party organizations, held an email straw poll of its members, and Mark Neumann received 62% of the respondents. What Neumann fails to mention is there were only 21 people that responded to the straw poll. Hardly overwhelming support.

And to give you another viewpoint on this group, they also show Dave Westlake leading Ron Johnson 90.5%-9.5% That is a laughable number, but it shows how far on the fringe the people that replied to this poll are.

  1. Did you call Walker desperate when he was bragging about winning a straw poll last November with only 39 people?  Or did you endorse him?

  2. Tell you what, capper… when I see your post about Neumann’s “poll” I promise to put up a post about this other poll from almost a year ago.  Deal?

  4. @Owen - You mean this one?

@Wendy - Now go watch Batman and Robin and see what you think when they keep yelling, “To the Bat-pole, Robin.”

  5. capper,

No, I meant the post where you criticized Neumann for seizing on a poll of 21 people a week before the election to claim the “Tea Party” mantle.  I haven’t seen it yet.

  6. Ah, the famous Walkerian double standard.  Walker’s poll was first, so I will let you go first.

  7. Bullshit.  You are comparing a poll from nearly a year ago that nobody noticed except rabid politicos (even I didn’t post on it) to a press release from a week before the election claiming a popular movement’s mantle based on 21 votes.

Sorry, capper.  I like you, but you’re full of shit on this one.  Your anti-Walker obsession is getting the better of you.  It will be fun to watch you when he is our governor.

  8. I know you dyed in the wool Republicans have already anointed him king for life, but he still has a primary to win first, not to mention the general election.

And he has a lot of baggage, with more coming, to carry all that way.
