This one is worth… oh let me think… 17 points.  Yeah, sure.  Why not?

  1. Looks like a Remington Revolving Rifle.

  2. It is a revolving rifle, but not a Remington.

  3. Well, it looks a lot like the LeMat Revolving Rifle, except that the bottom barrel is missing.  It looks a little like a Remington, except the trigger guard looks off.  So, I guess I’m stumped.

  4. Looks similar to the Le Mat Revolving Carbine, but I’m not sure if that’s it.

  6. Quite!

If it is, in fact, a LeMat, I’d be willing to split the prize points with you.  smile

(random related story: I once fired a Colt Revolving Rifle and lordy did that thing kick.  ‘Course, I was all of twelve at the time.  And not technically supposed to be firing the thing.  They were blanks, though!)

  7. Noe a LeMat, but you’re in the right era.

  8. I believe its either a french or a belgian pinfire revolving rifle/carbine, but I’m still trying to figure out the exact type

  15. Wow, that’s so obscure and nerdy that I’m almost glad I didn’t know that one.

  17. Is there some sort of prize for accumulating these points?

Posted by .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on June 10, 2008 at 1414 hrs

  18. Hmmm… good question.  No, not really, but maybe I could make a prize.  Perhaps being a guest blogger on B&S;for a day?  We’d have to set some sort of threshold for the number of points to be accumulated.

Or maybe if you collect enough points, you can head down to Chuck E. Cheese and redeem them for vampire teeth and runner snakes?

  19. That should be “rubber snakes.”  I blame Canada.

  20. This points accumulation idea is intriguing.

You should also extend it to your “name the location” game.  I know more about geography than I do about weaponry.
