I attended the regional high school dance competition in Oshkosh today. I officially have a case of bleacher butt. It is a bit jarring to hear hard rock songs from my younger days remixed and turned into dance tracks. Here are a few examples of songs I heard
butchered
tweaked today.
I didn’t hear this one today, but thought I would include it for fun. The problem is that at the moment I can’t listen to it without thinking of how it could be used for a dance routine.
And how ‘bout a little Iron Maiden for kicks…
While teaching a group cycling class at the YMCA, I used Bon Jovi’s Livin’ on a Prayer. A younger woman asked me who that band was. I was incredulous…
Oy… I feel your pain.
On another note, I played some of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall” with my kids in the car until one of my daughters asked me to change it because he sounded “evil.” Sigh…
Breaking the Law and The Number of the Beast turned into dance mixes.
That is just wrong on so many levels!
