Library

A while back Wendy posted about LibraryThing.  It’s a great website where we can track our books.  Wendy generally prefers to check out books from the library.  I prefer to buy them.  Our dream is to build a formal library at some point with the wood floors, the cushy chairs, the shelves, the musty smell of old books, the ladder, etc.  LibraryThing will help us properly shelve them once the library is in place.  We are lovers of books and want to make them a centerpiece of our home.

In any case, a while back we added a widget on the right side of the blog that shows random books from our personal collection.  Perhaps it’s a window into our minds.  Perhaps not.  In any case, it’s fun to see books pop up that I haven’t read in a while and try to find them.  I will warn you… if you are a book lover, the site is addicting.

  1. Just wait until I arrive with more boxes and boxes of books for your library

  2. Heh, I never noticed that down there.  That’s a really cool widget.

I tend to be more of a library person myself, whether that’s the public library or the private library (e.g. B&N;, Borders).  The private library tends to have better chairs and coffee and more copies of the latest bestseller, but the public library lets me take their stuff for free and has cheaper internet.
