  3. So the best way to follow up an ad with Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton in it is an ad with Moses?

    Obama said it best:

“Is that the best you can come up with? Is that really what this election’s about? Is that what is worthy of the American people?”

  4. 1. So is Obama the best you can come up with?
      Guess so, you nominated him.

    2. Is Obama what the election’s really about?
Guess so, he hasn’t addressed any issues with any degree
      of sanity…just “change”.

    3. Is Oboma worthy of the American people?
Cliche: You get the government you deserve.

  5. Juxtaposed with the MoveOn.org “Hope” ad this is absolutely dead on. I had to laugh out loud at the Hope ad, and this is a classic rebuttal of that.

  6. I’m going to hope that their goal with this was viral, because the production values are terrible.  The content’s not bad but the pace of the ad is plodding.  They need 75 seconds for this?  They could run a 30 second spot with the same message and it’d be twice as effective.

Decent message, bad delivery - sadly reminiscent of the candidate himself.

  7. Someone, if possible, remind me of what McCain <i> stands <i> for? It’s hard to remember when he’s so obsessed with his opponent.

  8. Someone, if possible, remind me of what McCain <i> stands <i> for? It’s hard to remember when he’s so obsessed with his opponent.

Not sure. But, the other candidate is obsessed with himself.

They could run a 30 second spot with the same message and it’d be twice as effective.

    I totally agree.

Lest anyone wonder where McCain’s line of attack is coming from…

  10. OMG, is that my honey, Scarlett Johansson?

  11. I realize I am in the minority, but I really don’t care for the ad.  I don’t like it when Obama is used in religous terms.  i think it diminishes religion, especially Christian religion.  Is he a cult leader, perhaps based on the fawning over him.  But to compare him to Moses, no I don’t like that.  And yes I do have a sense of humor.

  12. I have to agree with what Dan said about religion aspect - I find the clip to be very funny, but I think you have to appreciate sarcasm to get the meaning of it.  People who misunderstand the sarcasm might take offense at it, and thus against McCain.  I know people that would be considered very religiously devout, and I think they could see this ad as using their religion in a mocking fashion.

And then, I think there are totally clueless people who will watch the first part of the ad, see it as confirming their choice of Obama, and then change the channel.

  13. Well, these last few ads were effective enough to cause Obama to arrange a press conference on a Saturday morning to get some decent publicity.

And I think these two ads have begun the necessary job of defining this arrogant “messiah” and tweaking his cult-like followers.

  14. Funny the more people learn about the elitist Obama the more he drops in the polls.

No wonder the left is crying foul.

Their mesiah is the press darling, he has never been above 50% and he is trending down.
