I do find it interesting that they are so prepared to have the guys run out with the shields to prevent people from seeing him.

    Yeah, throughout these olympics I’ve seen a couple just “oddities” I’d call them… Things that just seem really strange/manufactured.

    American news persons/anchors/hosts acting a little peculiar (as if they are walking on eggshells watching what they say)

    I have a prediction.  I think when the games are over and all the networks with their anchors and the Today Show and everyone else gets back here to the states and they no longer have to worry about falling out of favor with the government there during the games and being denied access or having their press credentials stripped, or whatever ways the Chi-coms would exercise their control over media…

    I predict we are going to hear some pretty eyebrow raising stories about the censorship and the hard-core manipulation of the public image that we saw during the games.

    I think right now the news persons are really watching what they say so as to not ruffle feathers which might affect their access, but when the games are over I bet we hear it all.
