The one on Univ. Ave. in Madison was impossible to use as there was never any parking, and hard to get in and out of as it was located on one of the top traffic streets. The other ones downtown are great; and the one across from the Statehouse a perfect place to read and talk over java.
Perhaps UW Health will vote to subsidize the Findlay Plaza location. After all, I think the only people who ever used that Starbucks were either hospital employees or medical students. I think the rest of us mortals use the one with the drive-thru about half a mile west of there.
That’s the great thing about Starbucks. If you don’t want coffee when you drive by one but change your mind 12 seconds later, there’s usually another one just up the road.
Having only been in a Starbucks 1 time ($3.50 for a small cup of hot chocolate???), I just don’t see what the big deal is abnout Starbucks. Since I don’t like coffee, am I missing something?
I don’t drink coffee either, Dan, although I have indulged in a venti white chocolate mocha every now and then. I don’t get it either, but you can’t argue with success!
I have been to the lacrosse location 2 times while looking for a house with my real estate agent.
it was almost new now its closing.
We had stopped there when it was 20 below this past winter.
not a bad deal on a cold day.
I think the one by the mall will stay open.
but we have 13 kwik trips and a dozen coffee shops in this area.
There was a Starbucks in the Fox River Mall…thought ‘Jo to Go’ had cornered the market there?
Kevin,
The Charbucks in the FR Mall is relatively new.
As far as Charbucks goes I would buy a cup of coffee from the place when nothing else was available.
I buy from Joe to Go whenever possible - like to support a local (Wisconsin owned-Green Bay based) business. Keep my dollars right here at home instead of shipping them to the left coast.
I’m going to Seattle in October and I’m anxious to see where it all started, looking forward to the trip.
