Idiot Shoots Himself In the Head

Dumbass.

The Jefferson County Sheriff said that James Looney, 40, of Imperial, Mo., was teaching his girlfriend about the different safety mechanisms on guns by putting guns to his head and asking her if they would go off. The first two guns did not go off, but the third gun actually fired.

Looney was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead the next morning.

It seems his mind was in the right place about teaching safety before going to the range, but his implementation of that lesson plan leaves something to be desired. 

Note to anyone handling a gun… don’t point it at anything you don’t want shot.

    Don’t point a gun at anyone.
    Treat every gun as if it was loaded.

    Easy enough for a nine year old to grasp - you would think it should be easy enough for this gentleman. I guess he knows now.
