I Feel Old

So I’m in my car today, and a song I like came on one of the Sirius channels.  Next to the name of the song was a year.

This song reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100…

19 flippin’ years ago…

  2. Agreed. You know what other thing just made me feel really old…

There’s a commercial on right now - a guy is cleaning out all the baby stuff from a car - car seat, bottles, etc. Then he’s shown driving in the care with “the guys.” Somebody hits the radio, and a kiddie song comes on.

As I watch the commercial, all along I just thought it was a teenage son “borrowing” the car for a night with his high school buddies. Then my wife tells me, that the young kid behind the wheel was actually supposed to be the father!  Ugh.

Should’a never married a younger woman. On the plus side, I’m just about due for my sports car.

  3. I knew I was old when I started hearing The Stones on an “Oldies” station that used to play stuff like Buddy Holly.

  4. So true.  The Classic R & B station plays Jody Whatley and the Gap Band.  *sigh*
