A Cottage Grove couple was transported to a local hospital Saturday afternoon with head injuries after they were pistol-whipped by an intruder in an apartment located above Tricia’s Country Corners.
Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies found the couple after they responded to a report of a home invasion at 3737 County AB. Deputies received information of a lone gunman entering the apartment located above the bar and assaulting two residents.
A 63-year-old man and a 55-year-old female were treated for significant but non-life-threatening head injuries, according to the sheriff’s report.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-6 to 6 feet tall, clean-shaven with a stocky build. He was dressed in black clothing and may have had on a hooded sweatshirt.
Well thank-goodness the old couple didn’t have a gun to protect themselves…
I mean this worked out perfect. The couple is in the hospital and the intruder is free.

It’s their own damn fault. Now the Sheriff has to spend time and tax payers money to deal with these idiots and the hspital has to baby sit!
These people probably have no education-- how can anyone get discribred as between 5 1/2 feet and 6 feet tall? by a normal person?
That’s how dumb people in the Madistan area just are.
