It’s Memorial Day. Spike channel has a Band of Brothers marathon. AMC is showing war movies. History Channel? Pawn Stars marathon. History channel.
Fail.
Shouldn’t really be much of a surprise… History Channel is owned by GE’s NBC/Universal division.
Yeah - but History Channel had WWII in HD all day on Saturday. Since I’m recovering from surgery - it was a great day.
I nearly forgot! There’s a Hoarders marathon on A&E all day!
A&E has really strayed from their roots in the past decade. It used to be a great channel.
I’m waiting for all cable channels to be completely misleading in their names. MTV has set the standard. Others are following quickly.
This information is some of the best I have found on this topic for me, I really appreciate this point of view and I’ve found it to be more reliable then some, I will be recommending it to others.
Bad enough when Sci-Fi changed their name to SyFy (is that pronounced siffey). But half a dozen ghost shows? And wrestling - puh-lease. Now they’re going to have a cooking show.
Pawn stars? I assumed a typo and it was really the history of “Porn Stars”. That would at least have been a little interesting. I agree: BIG FAIL.
I’m glad I still have that new fangled wireless TV.
The sad truth is that the History Channel and A&E get better ratings playing dreck than anything resembling Historical or Arts content… In today’s television market they’d probably have a hard time surviving with real content.
In today’s television market they’d probably have a hard time surviving with real content.
And yet there are more and more cable channels starting with similar dreck.
yeah, neomom, that must be why.
::sigh::
Great article. I really like it. Thanks for information a lot. True Blood izle
