Higgs Boson

Found?

GENEVA (AP) — The search is all but over for a subatomic particle that is a crucial building block of the universe.

Physicists announced Thursday they believe they have discovered the subatomic particle predicted nearly a half-century ago, which will go a long way toward explaining what gives electrons and all matter in the universe size and shape.

The elusive particle, called a Higgs boson, was predicted in 1964 to help fill in our understanding of the creation of the universe, which many theorize occurred in a massive explosion known as the Big Bang. The particle was named for Peter Higgs, one of the physicists who proposed its existence, but it later became popularly known as the “God particle.”

  1. This is a bit of old news.
Nonetheless, it is truly a dark day.
    Gives me a hadron.

  2. Like climate scientists, the people who claim to have found the Higgs boson are engaged in a great conspiracy focused on attracting financial support for their research and pushing a left-wing godless explanation for the universe. They are also focused on promoting socialism, as demonstrated by the international composition of the research team. The researchers know that virtually no one understands their work well enough to contradict them, and those who see through the fraud will be shouted down as anti-intellectual.

    I mean, right?

  3. Truly a great discovery. I think it should make us rethink the creation of the universe. Maybe our traditional religious views aren’t right?
