  7. Okay, it bites when the Packers lose, but suck it up!  Packer fans have suffered through worse-anybody remember the Forest Gregg years?  I too am disappointed at their loss, but this past season was one of the best Packer seasons in many years.  The Packers may have lost to Chicago and Dallas during the season, but they also beat Kansas City at Kansas City as well as Denver at their Mile High Stadium!  Bret Farve broke many records this past season.  Aaron Rogers showed that he’s got game, especially when he got to play at Dallas.
This is a young team, and they’re good. hmmm

  9. Dear sickofFavre

Your just mad because your Bimbo, I mean Quarterback has been on a beach in Cabo San Lucas without you for the last 8 days.

  10. I think the reason it’s so hard, for me anyway, is because they didn’t lose to a better team, they lost because they played badly.  Yes, Favre made some bad plays, but the defense hardly showed up last night and, excepting Donald Driver, did any Packer seem like they WANTED it more than the Giants?  They were playing like it was a throwaway game, not the NFC Championship Game.

My hat’s off to the Giants; they played a good game.  But the Packers played a pathetic game and it was a lousy way to end a terrific season.

  11. The most disappointing thing I took away from this game is the fact that Favre has another example of poor performance when it matters most.

I love the guy, but it is painful to watch him make terrible plays at the most critical moments.

  12. What an awesome game.  You live by Favre, you die by Favre.  The line to apologize to Mr. Pelican Pants forms to the right.

  13. They didn’t lose just because of Brett Favre, despite the claims of those who so badly want to pin it on him for some inexplicable reason.  You could just as easily pin this on Al Harris, who was completely out played by a WR playing on a bad ankle.  Or you could blame it on a defensive line who put absolutely no pressure on Eli Manning, and allowed them to convert 3rd down after 3rd down, extending drives and keeping the Packer offense freezing on the sideline.  Or an offensive line which created absolutely no push at the line of scrimmage and helped render the running game useless.  Or kick coverage teams that seemed to forget the fundamental rule of containment and continually gave the Giants great field position every time the Packers scored.  Perhaps some of the blame directed at Brett Favre could be assigned to a Coaching staff that continued to call screen passes that haven’t worked in months, and failed to get Al Harris any help on Burress until well into the second half.  Yeah ... Brett did not play well, but outside of Tauscher and Poppinga, I can’t think of anyone that turned in a play-off winning performance.  Why so many want to gleefully revel in Favre’s individual failures while completely ignoring the hundreds of other factors contributing to last nights loss is just beyond me.

  14. Atari Bigby has proven himself to be an impact player.  He had a solid performance last night in addition to Poppinga and Tauscher.

  15. I thought Donald Driver had a pretty good game last night too.is

And Favre… he is what he is, and if you’re going to complain about the bad (which is sometimes very, very bad) you don’t get to revel in the great either (which is sometimes amazingly fantastic).

No, the whole team, minus a few named standouts, shoulder the loss for this game.

  16. What I noticed most was that GB receivers COULD NOT CATCH THE BALL!  Of course, I don’t know if I would have wanted to catch it in temps around 0 degrees.  I was pulling for GB, but it was not to be.  I’m just glad the Cowboys got beat out in the first round.

  17. Brett had a pretty ridiculously great year…It was a great year to be a fan of the gun slinger. The superbowl was very exciting as well. Sunday gaming won’t be the same once Favre retires..he looks like he has another 5 in him though.
