Green To Head Malaria No More Policy Center

Good for him

Mark Green, the former congressman from Green Bay who just completed a 17-month tenure as U.S. ambassador to Tanzania, has accepted a job with a Washington, D.C., nonprofit dedicated to the global fight against malaria.

Green is the managing director of the Malaria No More Policy Center.

“I’m a believer in the cause,” Green, 48, said Monday.

Asked if a return to politics in Wisconsin is possible, Green said: “Never say never, but this is what I want to do. . . . It’s a chance to continue with the work we did every day and loved every day in Tanzania.”

  1. At one time Malaria carrying mosquito’s were under control through the use of DDT. Then, the chicken littles came out. It’s been shown that the problems DDT supposedly caused were due to too much of it being used. Turns out that they didn’t need near as much to get the job done. Sadly, by the time they found this out, it was too late, and the stuff was banned.
