Greater love hath no man than this…

Killed in action the week before, the body of Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City , Georgia , just south of Atlanta , on June 11, 2009 . The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.

RIP.  Thank You.

  4. R.I.P., Sergeant.

The next time you go to rent a movie, consider ‘Taking Chance’ starring Kevin Bacon.  Illuminating and very moving.

  5. That is a display you would never see on, say the East side of Milwaukee

  6. I don’t think you’d see a procession like that in any major metropolitan area. Chris, I’d guess you meant that as a dig at what might be perceived as the liberal elite on Milwaukee’s east side. Oh well.  Those folks lining that route are a reminder of what a good life well lived will always mean to others.  That is NOT a partisan issue, despite your best efforts to turn it into one. I agree with Elizabeth.

  8. I pray for the family of the fallen brother. It brang a grown man to tears and ashamed I never served. I did not know him but we all owe him and many. Thank you Sergeant
