Governor lets state down

My column for the West Bend Daily News is online.  It’s called, “Governor lets state down.”  That wasn’t the main thrust of the column (no, I don’t have control over the headlines), it’s a true statement.  Here’re a few morsels.

The prioritization of the needs of WEAC and Doyle over the needs of Wisconsin’s children demonstrates the arrogance and baseness of which some people are capable.

Even Doyle is criticizing the authorities’ response. And yet, he’s not going to do anything about it. The governor is refusing to hold anybody accountable by firing or demoting those responsible.

For all the times that we see the arrogance, corruptibility, and unaccountability of government, I will never understand why people want to put our health care in their hands.
