GOP Plan Speeches to Counter Dem Speeches During Convention

Good move.  I love aggressive campaigning.

The GOP says it’s planning a rival post near the Democratic National Convention and will put on speeches by prominent GOP opponents including former presidential nominee and Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Republicans haven’t said exactly where they’ll set up, but party leaders say they’ll have an arena for rival speeches near downtown’s Pepsi Center, where Democrats gather Monday.

Hope the Dems do the same.  It will be interesting to (a) compare and contrast the media coverage and (b) get some good coverage of it!

For the record, I did apply for press credentials for the Dem convention too.  I never heard from them.

  1. Saw Dick Morris on Hannity & Colmes the other night and he was talking about McCain’s Saddleback performance, said it was outstanding & totally fit John’s style and these type of question/answer sessions doom Obama because he can’t be off the cuff.  Morris suggested McCain do his acceptance speech the same way, don’t read from a teleprompter, do a town hall meeting.  I hope someone from McCain’s campaign is listening because it would be a first and totally in his element.
