What a piece of garbage.
The Brown County Republican Party chair has been charged with performing sexual acts on a boy under 18 and giving marijuana to a minor, according to court documents.
Donald Fleischman faces felony counts of child enticement and exposing himself to a child along with two misdemeanor counts for contributing to the delinquency of a child and one misdemeanor for exposing himself to a child, according to the criminal complaint.“We just learned about this this morning, and to our knowledge he has resigned his position. We don’t know any other details,” RPW spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski said Friday.
Fleischman faces a maximum sentence of up to 52 years and three months and a fine of up to $230,000.
Throw the book and get this guy off the street for good.
Is it just me or does it seem like we are hear more and more about people like this?
Is it just that we are more aware of these predators or are there actually more and more of them?
It seems like every time you open a paper or turn on your computer you can find a story about one of these sickos
What a scary trend.

The smartest thing he did was resign. Now if we can just keep him away from kids and drug dealers….

My my my, I think it’s time for a sexy party!
Posted by Recess Supervisor on October 13, 2007 at 1558 hrsWhen my daughter was only 14 and her mother was dieing of cancer, a pervert that was 19 was taking advantage of her. I called all the authorities from the Sheriff to the DA and an attorney and pretty much got the brush off. I talked to his parents to try and put an end to it but they were as bad as he was because they refused to do anything. What do you do when your a nobody and have these type of problems with a pervert?
This pervert is a somebody so we hear about it and the authorities are doing what they should.
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 13, 2007 at 2029 hrsYes the GOP is better for tossing these guys out and fast…..Gerry Studds…..Bill Clinton…whoops sorry, Monica was 19 or whatever and not a minor….
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 13, 2007 at 2131 hrsWhy does this stuff happen so much to the GOP?
Seems like a week never goes by without some Republican getting into this kind of trouble.

It’s OK as long as they don’t raise taxes, didn’t you know that?
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 14, 2007 at 0102 hrsIs this what happens when the good people of this state don’t get involved in politics and our courts, or, is this what keeps people out and allows these types in?
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 14, 2007 at 0739 hrsParty affiliation aside, the more people who become involved the less chance for the whackos to rise in the organization.
That’s true for every organization from civic groups to church groups to political groups.
The best way to keep your organization from showing upin these headlines is to be involved and informed. Cockroaches flee the light.
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 14, 2007 at 0839 hrsWhat’s really sad about this is that it will reflect poorly upon perfectly well-adjusted gay republicans who aren’t engaging in child enticement. I hope (in vain) that the public discussion will focus on the fact that we’re talking about a child abuser, not about a gay republican. It just wouldn’t be fair to the fine upstanding gay republicans who write this blog to do otherwise.
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 14, 2007 at 1052 hrsSad story and yet there people here taking pathetic cheap shots at the GOP and this blog.
Steve, you forgot Mel Reynolds- convicted of sex with a minor but was pardoned by Bill Clinton.
Obviously, there is something wrong in this persons reasoning that caused him to act. Did he think that he would not be suspected because Republicans generally are opposed to perverts? I suppose that no one suspected Judge Ziegler of being a rule breaker until it finally was exposed, did she think that the black rope hid her from suspicion? There are many offenses occuring that together are what is tearing down out society.
It’s worrisome to think of how much more is going on that we don’t know about that has an impact on our political and legal lifes. If more people were involved, perhaps more people would be exposing what really is going on. Whoever exposed this person should be highly esteemed to encourage others to do the same. A clean up is impossible without it.
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 14, 2007 at 1155 hrsDan, Mel Reynolds served his entire sentence for the sexual assault charges. A portion of his bank fraud sentence was commuted by President Clinton. That verdict came down while he was in prison for the sex charges.
I’m neither condemning nor condoning that decision - I don’t know enough details about it to have an opinion. I do know, however, that your comment is either ignorant of the facts or a deliberate attempt to misleading. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and presume the former.
Steve, you forget that Dan Crane, a Republican, was censured at the same time as Gerry Studds. So many Republicans DO conveniently forget that, or simply are ignorant of that. And Crane left the House shortly after his censure, but only because he was defeated for reelection. It’s not like he resigned. Also, in deference to both sides, I don’t think that an event that happened a generation ago is necessarily relevant to the current debate.
The memories of so many Republicans seem to suffer from convenient amnesia when it comes to these sex scandals.
And again, I remind everyone of a point I made in my own post on this matter. It’s not like the GOP is cleaning its own house. Law enforcement and the press are cleaning its house for them. The GOP just tries to pile on after the fact, and then foolishly tries to use the issue to counter instead of doing the smart thing and just condemning the behavior and shutting its mouth about the Democrats.
Perhaps the GOP needs to create and fund an internal police force to make sure that all of its leaders are acting in accordance with the socially conservative rhetoric they employ to woo voters.
Posted by Recess Supervisor on October 14, 2007 at 1226 hrsRS, you are correct about the pardon.
Posted by (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) on October 14, 2007 at 1252 hrsThe problem is that he remained chair and treasurer.
With over $750,000 going through the party in 2006, how much got skimmed to buy the pot and beer?
What is this guys salary? His expense account.
This will reduce the money donated to the local party, and will reduce the party’s local credibility, for 2008.
If they did not know, it’s amazing, as the arrest records are closely watched by the press, and the local GOP would ahve been contacted back in December of 2006 when he was arrested.
But, the same old, same old, nothing to see here…these aren’t the droids you’re looking for…pay no attention to the man behind the curtain….
