Cool.
To the delight of the crowd Thursday night, McCain and Palin entered through a cutout outline of the state, tracing the edge of the arena - where spotlights had just criss-crossed the floor - to a stage set in front of a bank of seats, below giant U.S. and Wisconsin flags.
The bowl of the Resch Center, which seats about 11,000 people, was nearly full. An additional 1,000 or so people stood on the floor, many waving signs such as “The Original Mavericks” and “Wisconsin loves McCain.”
Wow, just like celebrities. How do they stand it when the lights go dim?
Well grumps at least they didn’t come on a stage set with Greek columns like Nobama.
I was there 4 years ago when Pres. Bush drove his bus right onto the floor of the Resch Center - now that was “way cool”.

After reading this article: (http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=13913)
I can only conclude that there are some Democrats who wish they would have thrown Pelosi under that bus - now it is too late to throw her under any bus, what with the way Hillary was treated, it would really get things riled up if another “female” problem was dealt with.
Pelosi and Reid Blew It
The most fascinating political development of the summer has occurred with little notice. Republicans are respected again.
......................
since August the Republicans have closed an 18 point gap with Democrats among independent voters. A new Gallup poll finds that Democrats have only a three-point edge (within the margin of error) when people are asked which party they want to control Congress.
............................
Instead of governing, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid embarked on a two-year political campaign.
....................................
This election year should have produced a Democratic sweep of historic proportions, delivering the White House and massive majorities in the House and Senate. But thanks to the incompetence of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, Republicans might pull a respectable showing.
I was at the rally, my first ever political event.
The energy inside that place was electric. Every speech was well recieved.
I found it moving when the entire place said the Pledge of Allegiance. Then I was nearly in tears when they had a woman sing the National Anthem: Everyone in the place sang along. And loudly.
It was really encouraging to be in that line waiting to go in and to talk with people like that. And the event was fantastic.
I was down on the floor, about 15 feet or so out from the stage. It was great!
Wow a sold out show.
if you watch the liberal msnbc show, dont know her name she is new this week.
she says that all his events there are plenty seats availible.
thats why i dont listen to liberals
A month ago it seems that it was a bad thing for the celebrity Obama to draw big crowds. Now you sound like a bunch of hypocrites for loving your candidate drawing big crowds. My head keeps spinning at the reversal of attitudes here.
